The United Nations and the international community should help the flood victims of Afghanistan
The acting representative of Afghanistan in the United Nations has asked the United Nations and the international community to help the flood victims and the needy people of the country.
Nasir Ahmad Faiq, the head of Afghanistan’s mission in the United Nations, wrote this article on Saturday, 29th of Thor, by publishing a message on the X page.
He added that the devastating flood has hit Ghor province.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and victims,” Faiq added.
Earlier, Richard Bennett, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in Afghanistan, also asked international institutions to allocate more funds to the flood victims in this country.
More than 50 people have died due to the recent flood in Ghor province, and the flood in Baghlan has also killed more than 300 people.
