A contract for the exploration and extraction of Jawzjan gas worth one billion dollars was signed today Thursday (19 Mizan) in the presence of the economic deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with an Uzbek company.

According to this contract, the company will invest 100 million dollars in the first year and 1 billion dollars in the course of ten years, and will also produce 100 megawatts of electricity from the extracted gas in the first two years.
