Erdoğan received Nechirvan Barzani
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also participated in this meeting, which was held without the presence of press officers at the presidential complex in Ankara. In their meeting in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Northern Iraqi Kurdistan Chief Nechirvan Barzani discussed ways to expand relations between Ankara and Baghdad and the development road project.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Nechirvan Barzani, the head of the Kurdish regional administration in northern Iraq, in Ankara. This meeting took place without the presence of journalists in the Beshtepe gathering. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also attended the meeting. In this meeting, Erdoğan expressed his hope for the successful holding of the elections of the Northern Iraq Assembly on October 20, and emphasized the importance of the development road project on the stability, peace and all-round development of the region as well as Northern Iraq.
In this meeting, the Turkish president also expressed that Israel’s military aggression is pushing the region towards a full-scale war, and praised the efforts of the Iraqi authorities in keeping this country away from regional conflicts. Erdoğan also emphasized the importance of joint fight against terrorist groups and said that Türkiye will always be with the government and people of Iraq after this.
The President of Türkiye then met and negotiated with Ahmed Abul Ghait, Secretary General of the Arab League.
