Panjshir emeralds worth more than 1.6 million dollars have been sold this year

The Department of Information and Culture of Panjshir Province, quoting the Department of Mines and Petroleum of this province, said that in the first 6 months of the current solar year, 35 thousand 874.3 carats of emerald products of this province were sold worth 1 million 614 thousand 570 dollars.

According to this directorate, based on statistics, 1,800 emerald mining areas in Panjshir have been surveyed and established, of which nearly 300 mines are active.
