Religious Leaders Stress Unity and Joint Efforts for National Development

A delegation comprised of religious scholars and tribal elders from the northern provinces of the country, who have traveled to the southern region, state that the development of the country is a shared responsibility of all ethnic groups.

Meanwhile, the tribal elders of Zabul consider the steps taken by the religious scholars and tribal elders from Kunduz, Takhar, Baghlan, and Badakhshan as valuable efforts to strengthen national unity.

Abdul Qadir, a tribal elder from Zabul, said: “We are very happy to welcome our brothers from the northern provinces today, and they have come to this part of their home. Such occasions will be very beneficial in strengthening public unity.”

Sayed Mohammad, a tribal elder from Zabul, said: “The exchange of visits between the residents of Afghanistan’s provinces will prevent divisions and eliminate any form of prejudice and mistrust.”

Members of the delegation of religious scholars and tribal elders from the northern provinces emphasize that all ethnic groups of the country, as a single nation, share a common religion and national values.

According to them, Afghanistan is the common home of all Afghans, and all ethnic groups share the responsibility of its development and prosperity.

Abdul Qayum, a religious scholar from the northern provinces, said: “We, the Uzbeks, Tajiks, Hazaras, and Pashtuns, are brothers, and none is superior to the other. Therefore, we will further strengthen our unity and work towards the development of our homeland.”

Habibullah, a tribal elder from the northern provinces, said: “We are very happy and feel good here. After this visit, we would also like to invite the great people of Kandahar to visit the north.”

The delegation of religious scholars and tribal elders from the northern provinces also added that during this trip, in addition to Zabul, they will meet with local officials and residents of Kandahar, Uruzgan, and Helmand provinces, and invite them to visit the northern part of the country as well.
