Education Ministry Pledges to Provide Quality Educational Services

Abdul Khaleq Sadiq, Deputy Minister of Education, stated in an event in Kabul that the ministry is committed to providing quality educational services to the public. 

Speaking at a Scientific Competition for Kabul city schools, Sadiq emphasized that contrary to opposition groups’ claims, the Islamic Emirate places special focus on contemporary sciences.

The Deputy Minister for Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Education said: “Some who are enemies of the Islamic Emirate, the system, and Afghanistan claim that the Islamic Emirate does not prioritize modern sciences, yet we have witnessed two major educational events in the city this week; however, we are not in religious schools.”

Abdul Basit Haqqani, the head of the Education department of Kabul, stated: “Our students receive theoretical lessons, but they must also learn practical ones. Our goal is to provide practical education alongside theoretical lessons.”

Meanwhile, officials said that the purpose of such programs is to enhance students’ skills. 

Students from 50 public and private schools showcased 100 scientific projects in this competition, with several receiving awards and certificates of recognition.

Fazl Rabi Kabiri, Director of the Science Center at the Education department of Kabul, said: “We selected the best projects from fifty schools, displaying two projects from each school today, for a total of one hundred.”

Some participating students also emphasized the importance of such programs. 

“This initiative by Kabul’s Department of Education has brought all Kabul schools together under one roof, fostering healthy competition among them,” said Ahmad Rashid, a participant.

The organizers also announced that more practical programs will be introduced nationwide to further enhance student capabilities.
