Mawlawi Abdul Kabir Calls to Strengthen Kabul-Kuala Lumpur Ties

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, stated during a meeting with the acting ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Malaysia that the relations between Kabul and Kuala Lumpur are highly important and require further expansion.

According to the deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir in this meeting asked Naqibullah Ahmadi to prioritize addressing the problems faced by Afghans and to better represent the caretaker government.

Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, said: “Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, praised the efforts of Afghanistan’s embassy in Malaysia and emphasized that Kabul-Kuala Lumpur relations are vital and need further development.”

During the meeting, the acting ambassador of the Islamic Emirate also highlighted the importance of the recent visit by a Malaysian delegation to Afghanistan, stating that the trip had a positive impact on the relations between the two countries.

Salim Paigir, a political analyst, said: “We can learn a lot from Malaysia, especially regarding education. The stronger our ties with Malaysia, the more we can benefit from their experiences.”

Sayed Abadullah Sadiq, another political analyst, said: “Islamic countries like Malaysia, with whom we share Islamic values and cultural ties, can act as good mediators on the global stage and effectively lobby on behalf of Afghanistan and its people.”

According to a statement from the Arg, Naqibullah Ahmadi stated during the meeting that Malaysian officials have a positive outlook toward Afghanistan and are committed to sharing their experiences to help rebuild the country with the Islamic Emirate.
