Haqqani: Roads Will Be Built, But Building ‘Trust’ More ‘Important’

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting minister of interior, stated during a ceremony in Khost that no one can bargain over the people of Afghanistan.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the construction work for the Khost provincial security command’s building, the acting minister of interior expressed appreciation for the efforts of security forces in maintaining security across the country.

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani said: “No one can bargain over our lives and property. Do you want a greater honor than this? Roads and buildings will be constructed, but what is important is building hearts and trust. May God solve all problems.”

In his speech, the acting minister of interior further highlighted the achievements of the security forces, adding: “We all agree that nationwide security has been established with the help of God. The tireless efforts and round-the-clock hard work of the security forces are commendable. Any incentive that boosts their morale and acknowledges their efforts must be provided.”

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani also referred to the implementation of retribution (Qisas) in recent days in Paktia, noting that while there are concerns about this, the Islamic Sharia system ensures the rights of all people are protected.

The Khost provincial security command’s building will be constructed over three floors at a cost of 71 million afghani and will take one and a half years to complete.
