Mujahid: TAPI Project ‘Progressing’ Practically in Country
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, has stated that the necessary machinery for the TAPI project has arrived in the country, and the work on this project is currently underway.
According to Mujahid, the work on this major economic project is expected to be completed in two years, reaching Herat province.
Since the rise of the Islamic Emirate in the country, the commencement of the TAPI project in Afghan soil is considered one of the most significant achievements of the Islamic Emirate.
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said: “The work on the TAPI project is actively ongoing in Afghan territory. Since the inauguration, the necessary equipment for this project has been transported, and the machinery used there, as well as essential materials that are placed underground, have arrived, and the work on this project is practically ongoing in Afghanistan.”
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan Industrialists’ Association also considers the completion of the TAPI project to be a positive step in the growth and development of the country’s economy.
Abdul Jabbar Safi, the head of the Afghanistan Industrialists’ Association, spoke about the importance of this project, saying: “This project will create job opportunities for thousands of people, and annually, about 400 million dollars in revenue will be generated. The southwest region of the country will become an economic zone, and with the implementation of this project, gas, electricity, railways, and roads will also be constructed.”
“The TAPI project is a large-scale project, and along its course, many other projects will also be implemented. With the inauguration and completion of this project, hundreds of other projects will also begin,” said Abdul Shukoor Hadawal, an economist.
The TAPI project was inaugurated on September 11, in the presence of senior officials from the Islamic Emirate and Turkmenistan. It was stated that with the launch of this project, 12,000 jobs will be created in Afghanistan, and in addition, the country’s annual income from this project will be nearly one billion dollars.
