Stanikzai: Tyranny Inevitably Leads to Collapse
Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, the foreign deputy minister, said during a gathering in Kabul that the recent political changes in Syria serve as a clear example that oppression and tyranny ultimately lead to defeat.
Stanikzai also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the current system in Afghanistan, warning that failure to support it could lead to internal conflicts.
“You witnessed a major transformation in Syria four days ago, where a half-century-old government, led by a father and son for nearly 45 years, collapsed. Tyrannical and oppressive governments always meet this fate,” he said.
He added that if the current system is not preserved, chaos and internal wars could erupt in Afghanistan.
“Alongside rebuilding the country, we must also protect this system. If we fail to do so, anarchy will prevail, internal conflicts will arise, and divisions under various names will surface,” Stanikzai said.
Some political analysts said that the Islamic Emirate must provide adequate resources and services to its citizens to gain both international recognition and increased public support.
Aziz Stanikzai, a political analyst, remarked: “The people cooperate with the government when it meets their expectations, addresses their demands, provides services, ensures their peace, feeds them, and works on improving their economy.”
Ahmad Khan Andar, another political analyst, said: “For the current government to gain recognition, the Islamic Emirate must move forward in accordance with the laws and principles of the United Nations Charter, as long as they do not contradict our religion and traditions.”
Previously, the deputy foreign minister highlighted that peace in Afghanistan benefits the region and the world, and urged the international community and global institutions to cooperate comprehensively with the interim government based on the Doha Agreement.
