Strengthening Ties: Islamic Emirate’s Diplomatic Efforts in Qatar
Mohammad Naeem, acting head of the Islamic Emirate’s Embassy in Qatar, praised Doha’s role in fostering relations between the Islamic Emirate and the United States. He said that meetings with officials from various countries are aimed at improving Afghanistan’s current situation.
In response to a question on ties with the United States, Mohammad Naeem stated to that there are no notable concerns.
“For the sake of our people and country, we have made efforts within the framework of Islamic principles and will continue to do so. Our goal is to reach mutual understanding and resolve problems,” Naeem said.
In his conversation with , Naeem described the sanctions imposed on Afghanistan as an unjust act against the Afghan people and emphasized the need to lift them.
“The imposition of sanctions is a cruel action inflicted upon the Afghan people, and the world remains silent on these sanctions. There is no justification for continuing these sanctions, which only add to the suffering of the Afghan people,” he said.
Janat Faheem Chakari, a political analyst, told : “If meaningful and constructive flexibility is not demonstrated, it will be difficult to lift the sanctions or for Afghanistan to regain its status in the United Nations General Assembly.”
Earlier, the Ministry of Economy had stated that international sanctions, particularly those imposed by the United States, have caused significant harm to Afghan citizens and exacerbated the country’s economic crisis.
