Qosh Tepa Exhibition Promotes Faryab’s Local Products

The Qosh Tepa exhibition, held for the first time in Maimana, the center of Faryab province, was organized with the collaboration of a private company and the provincial Directorate of Industry and Commerce.

According to officials, the exhibition will continue for three days, and is aimed at introducing and marketing domestic products.
The exhibition features over 40 booths showcasing handicrafts, agricultural products, construction materials, hygiene items, and locally produced medicines.

Hamidullah Ershad, Deputy Governor of Faryab, emphasized the importance of the exhibition, saying: “People need to see and use domestic products. Such exhibitions are very useful and effective.”

“These exhibitions play a significant role in promoting and developing domestic industries. The policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is to stand on our own feet and increase our production,” said Mohammad Hashim Wahaj, the head of the company organizing the exhibition.

Participants in the exhibition highlighted the need to create domestic and international markets to support local products.

“We participated in this exhibition to showcase Faryab’s saffron, demonstrating that this product is produced and processed in this province,” said Sayed Ghulam Sakhi, one of the participants.

Gulnar, another participant, added: “We brought all our products to this exhibition. We hope to achieve more growth as we rely on this for our livelihood.”

Khadija, another participant, mentioned her difficult living conditions, saying: “I have nine young children and no husband, and I make a living through this work.”

Over the past year, several exhibitions of domestic products, handicrafts, and agricultural goods have been held in other provinces of the country. According to economic experts, these exhibitions have played an effective role in introducing and marketing local products.
