Turkmenistan to buy 150,000 tons of sikh gul from Afghanistan

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced that Afghanistan has achieved self-sufficiency in sikh gul production and Turkmenistan will buy 150,000 tons of sikh gul from Afghanistan by 2025.

Akhundzada Abdul Salam Javad, a spokesman for the ministry, said that last year 60,000 tons of sikh gul produced in Afghanistan were exported to Pakistan, and this year a contract to export 150,000 tons of sikh gul has been signed with Turkmenistan.

Mr. Akhundzada added that about three to four thousand people are working in sikh gul production factories in the country.
