Ukrainian Futsal Player Wins Young Player Award

A Ukrainian national futsal player received the Young Player of the Year award from the “Futsal Planet” website.

Ten of the world’s top players, including Afghanistan’s national futsal player, Mehran Ghulami, were nominated for the award Ultimately, Rostyslav Semenchenko, a member of Ukraine’s national futsal team, won the honor.

Futsal Planet annually recognizes and honors the best in this sport.

Mehran Ghulami was nominated for the 2024 award. 

He has showcased outstanding performances at both the Asian and global levels, contributing significantly to Afghanistan’s national futsal team.

With the participation of this 19-year-old player, Afghanistan’s national futsal team competed in the Futsal World Cup for the first time in 2024, held in Uzbekistan.

Moreover, Mohammad Jawad Safari had previously been listed among the award nominees as the best goalkeeper of Afghanistan’s national futsal team.
