Ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel extended

The office of the interim Lebanese Prime Minister and the White House announced the extension of the ceasefire between Lebanon and the Israeli regime until February 18.
Two months have passed since the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and the Israeli regime, which was supposed to leave southern Lebanon within 60 days.
This measure has not yet been implemented, and Tel Aviv continues to occupy the country.
Accordingly, the United States, as the largest supporter of the Zionist regime and one of the mediators of the Lebanese ceasefire agreement, is now trying to buy time for the regime in line with Tel Aviv’s interests.
The White House announced in this regard: The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel is valid until February 18 and will be extended.
The statement emphasizes: The governments of Lebanon, Israel and the United States will hold negotiations to return Lebanese prisoners who have been detained by the Zionist military after October 7.
The office of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati also issued a statement announcing: “The current ceasefire will be extended until February 18, based on what was previously agreed upon.”
