Land Distribution for Industrial Parks Begins Across the Country
Following the decision of the leader of the Islamic Emirate, the process of distributing land for industrial parks has begun in many provinces across the country.
In addition to allocating approximately 4,000 acres of land in four areas surrounding the capital, Kabul, separate allocations include 20,000 acres for the provinces of Kandahar, Nangarhar, and Balkh, 10,000 acres for Kunduz, and 1,000 acres for each of the other provinces, which are set to be distributed accordingly.
Raz Mohammad Yasar, the head of industry and trade in Parwan, stated: “By the decree of Amir-ul-Mu’minin, 1,000 acres of land have been allocated for the establishment of industrial parks in Parwan province, with 500 acres designated in Shinwari district and another 500 acres in Bagram district.”
Factory owners see the land distribution for industrial parks as a significant step in supporting domestic production and facilitating industrial activities in the country.
Shahabuddin, a factory owner from Ghazni, said: “Now that we have heard this promising news, we hope the practical distribution of land begins as soon as possible so that industrial activities can flourish.”
Mukhtar Ahmad, another factory owner from Ghazni, said: “This is excellent news for traders and for us. Having a suitable location for industrial parks will help us efficiently carry out our work.”
While many factory owners have praised this initiative, they have also called for the resolution of existing challenges, particularly the shortage of electricity.
Yama Ahmadi Arsalan, the head of a manufacturing plant in Parwan, stated: “First and foremost, industrialists need support. Infrastructure, including electricity and water, must be provided so that factories can operate efficiently.”
Ahmad Farid, another factory owner in Parwan, noted: “We have been investing and operating in this location for nearly 18 years. Land distribution alone cannot solve the problems of industrialists; all issues, especially the electricity shortage, must be addressed.”
According to officials, approximately 5,000 small and large manufacturing factories are currently operating across the country, providing employment opportunities for more than 400,000 people.
