Islamic Emirate: Military Equipment ‘Seriously Protected’

The Islamic Emirate has rejected the remarks of Pakistan’s foreign ministry spokesperson, who claimed that US military equipment in Afghanistan is being used against Pakistan.

The Islamic Emirate said that these military assets are well-protected.

Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, stated that all military equipment is securely stored and no one is allowed to misuse it.

He said: “All of Afghanistan’s equipment is securely stockpiled and seriously protected. No one is permitted to misuse these military assets.”

Previously, Shafqat Ali Khan, the spokesperson of Pakistan’s foreign ministry, had alleged that these military assets were being used against Pakistan. According to him, various groups, including Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), have been utilizing these weapons.

Shafqat Ali Khan said: “The presence of US advance weapons in Afghanistan, left behind in the aftermath of the withdrawal of its troops in August 2021, has been an issue of profound concern for the safety and security of Pakistan and its citizens. These weapons have been used by terrorist organizations, including the TTP, to carry out terrorist attacks in Pakistan. We have been repeatedly calling upon the de facto authorities in Kabul to take all necessary measures to ensure that these weapons do not fall into the wrong hands.”

“Their goal is to destabilize Afghanistan and portray it as a rogue state on international platforms,” Janat Faheem Chakari, a political analyst, told .

Earlier, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, Pakistan’s former caretaker prime minister, had also claimed that some of the military equipment left behind by US forces in Afghanistan had fallen into the hands of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan. However, this claim was denied by the interim Afghan government.
