Armenia’s parliament approves EU accession bill

The Armenian parliament has approved the EU accession bill in the first reading.

The bill was adopted with 63 votes in favor and 7 against.

The bill was initiated by several civil society organizations through a petition that garnered enough votes to be considered a bill.

The organization calls on Armenian authorities to begin the process of joining the EU, as the bill was previously approved by the Council of Ministers.
