Changes in India-Afghanistan trade relations after the Islamic Emirate took over

Indian media reported, citing the country’s Ministry of Commerce, that India’s trade relations with Afghanistan have undergone significant changes since the Islamic Emirate returned to power in 2021.

According to the report, India’s imports from Afghanistan have increased and New Delhi’s exports to the country have decreased.

The report states that India’s imports from Afghanistan reached $642 million and 29 thousand in the fiscal year 2023-2024.
