Investments in High-Rise Construction in Taloqan Increase

The Takhar Department of Urban Development and Housing states that in the past three years, Taloqan, the provincial capital, has witnessed a significant increase in investment in high-rise construction and housing development.

According to officials, traders and investors have invested millions of dollars in this sector.

“A large number of traders from other provinces are interested in investing in Takhar and building high-rises. We are supervising their activities, and the work is progressing well,” said Mohammad Hanif Mukhtar, the head of Takhar’s Urban Development and Housing Department.

Alongside the rise in construction investment, officials from real estate agencies in Takhar report that land and property prices in various parts of Taloqan have multiplied several times.

“There is high demand for real estate purchases, and people are eager to invest in this sector,” said Abdul Sami Majrooh, head of one of these agencies.

Some residents of Takhar have welcomed urban development and urged the Urban Development and Housing Department to strictly oversee compliance with engineering standards in the construction of these buildings.

“The country is now secure, and our traders who were abroad have returned, intending to invest and contribute to national development,” said Qudratullah Haikalzada, a businessman from Takhar.

Hamidullah, another resident of Takhar, added: “Good facilities have been provided, and suitable job opportunities have also been created for the people.”

Taloqan, known as the “Bride of Cities” in the northeast of the country due to its favorable climate, organized urban layout, electricity, and urban water supply, holds significant potential for urban growth and development.
