Ghazni’s 300-Bed Hospital Nears 90% Completion

Local officials in Ghazni say that the construction of the province’s 300-bed hospital is 90% complete.

Zark Zirak, the head of Ghazni’s Public Health Department, stated that the hospital has been built with a budget of 350 million afghani from domestic resources and will soon be inaugurated.

“With the arrival of winter and cold weather, construction work on the hospital was halted. However, as the weather warms up, the remaining 10% of the work will resume soon and be completed quickly,” he added.

Residents of Ghazni have also urged officials to complete the project as soon as possible.

“We have faced many challenges over the past six years. The number of patients in Ghazni is high, and we hope this hospital will be completed soon,” said Mohammad Salim, a resident of Ghazni.

“We ask the government to ensure the completion of this hospital because people are facing serious health issues, and overcrowding in hospitals has increased,” said Wahidullah, another resident.

“There is not enough medicine in hospitals and clinics. We want sufficient medicine to be provided in every hospital because people are in difficult conditions,” said Shaheen Shah, a resident of Ghazni.

According to the Ghazni Public Health Department, this solar year, projects worth 313 million afghani have been implemented in the province to provide advanced medical equipment, ambulance services, improved maternal and child healthcare, child nutrition, and disease diagnostics.
