Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Seeks Pakistani Approval for Talks with Afghanistan

Barrister Saif, the information advisor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has requested the Pakistani government’s approval for a delegation to visit Afghanistan.

This request follows provincial officials’ emphasis on the need for urgent security talks with the Islamic Emirate.

According to The Express Tribune, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa official has stated that security discussions with Afghanistan’s interim government are essential.

Barrister Saif further stated: “We urge the government to approve a delegation’s visit to Afghanistan, as security talks with the Taliban are crucial. Ensuring the safety of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa residents is a top priority.”

While the Islamic Emirate has not recently commented on this matter, it has previously stated that Afghanistan’s territory will not be used against any country.

“It is clear that Pakistan’s moves are strategic and do not adhere to diplomatic norms,” Abdul Sadiq Hamidzoi, a political analyst, told .

“The fundamental issue is that Pakistan is unable to ensure its own security and does not accept a politically stable Afghanistan as its neighbor. I hope that all conflicts will be resolved through dialogue, focusing on mutual national interests,” said Zalmai Afghanyar, another political analyst.

Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had announced plans to send a delegation to Kabul for discussions with the interim government to prevent security threats.
