Trump threatens to cut off funding for universities hosting anti-Israel rallies

Trump announced on the social media platform Truth on Tuesday (March 14) that all federal funding for universities and schools that allow “illegal” protests will be stopped, and that the rioters will be imprisoned or returned to the country they came from.

Trump also mentioned in the post: American students will be permanently expelled or arrested, depending on the crime committed.

He did not specify what “illegal protests” include, but he referred to protests against anti-Zionist crimes that began on US campuses after October 7, 2023.
