US Will ‘Never Get Anywhere’ with Threats: Khamenei

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei criticized the United States’ policies, emphasizing that Tehran has never initiated a conflict but will respond harshly if attacked.

He made these remarks amid escalating regional tensions and recent warnings from Washington against Iran.

According to the Associated Press, Khamenei stated firmly: “Let the Americans be aware: when dealing with Iran they will never get anywhere by making threats.”

Referring to recent White House stances, particularly comments by US President Donald Trump, he added: “We have never been the initiators of conflict with others, but if someone maliciously starts a confrontation, they should know they will receive harsh slaps.”

These remarks come as the United States and its Western allies accuse Iran of providing military support to the Houthis and other regional militia groups. However, Khamenei asserted that resistance groups in the region act independently and make their own decisions.

He said: “What does proxy even mean? They are on their own.”

The latest comments by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei come as the Middle East has been witnessing a wave of tensions, sporadic attacks, and verbal threats between Iran, the United States, and their allies in recent months.
