Amnesty International: Pakistani authorities must immediately release Mehrang Baloch

Amnesty International has called on the Pakistani government to immediately release Mehrang Baloch, the leader of the Baloch protest movement, and others detained during the protests.

The organization added that Mehrang Baloch has not been allowed to contact his lawyer or family members for the past two days, which is a matter of concern.

Amnesty International has also warned that the trend of arbitrary detentions in Pakistan has intensified, raising serious human rights concerns.
