Islamic Emirate Announces Fruit Exports Worth $643 Million

The Economic Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate announced on Saturday, May 3, that Afghanistan exported a total of 466 tons of fresh and dried fruits worth $643 million during the year 1403 AH.
The Economic Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate issued a statement saying that almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, plums, figs, raisins, apricots, pomegranates, grapes and apples were among the fruits exported by Afghanistan.
The Economic Deputy has clarified that the customers of Afghanistan’s fresh and dried fruits are Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.
This is while Afghanistan’s fresh and dried fruits constitute a large part of the country’s export items.
Afghanistan’s fresh and dried fruits are always exported to different countries.
Last year, the Economic Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate also asked the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan to facilitate the transit of fresh Afghan fruits to Central Asia.
