Shaheen: Islamic Emirate Has Won Both Military and Political Arenas

As Afghanistan marks the approach of the fourth anniversary of the Islamic Emirate’s return to power, officials of the caretaker government are highlighting their achievements in both political and military spheres.
Suhail Shaheen, acting head of the Islamic Emirate’s embassy in Qatar, says these achievements have led to the failure of the enemy’s political and tactical plots and strengthened the country’s system.
Shaheen said: “The special distinction of this victory is that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, alongside the military front, also achieved success in the political arena and reached the shore of victory. The outcome of this initiative was very positive and paved the way for the establishment of an Islamic system in Afghanistan.”
He also stressed that, as a result of the efforts of the Islamic Emirate’s members and the sacrifices of Afghans, global powers and their allies have accepted defeat.
Political analysts have differing views on the Islamic Emirate’s achievements over the past four years.
Political analyst Najib ur-Rahman Shamal said: “The caretaker government’s efforts to build relations with other countries and meet the economic needs of the Afghan people are ongoing, but problems still remain, and the caretaker government has not turned into a government of the Afghan people’s choice.”
Another political analyst, Saleem Paigir, said: “Over the past four years, the Islamic Emirate has managed to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan. As for why the international community does not want to engage with Afghanistan, it may have its own demands.”
Previously, senior Islamic Emirate official Anas Haqqani also described the Doha Agreement as a defeat for the United States and a major achievement for the Islamic Emirate, saying the main goal was to gain power through the agreement, but the departure of former president Ashraf Ghani changed the course.
