Kremlin: No agreement between Putin and Trump to meet Zelensky

Kremlin foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov said on Monday (September 10, 2021) that no agreement had been reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump to hold a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky or to arrange a trilateral summit.

The comments came in response to media speculation about the possibility of the US mediating the Russia-Ukraine talks.

Ushakov stressed that any talks at this level require preparation and agreement on a specific framework.
