Qatari PM: Israeli attack on Doha is state terrorism, Netanyahu must be tried

Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani described the recent Israeli attack on the Qatari capital as “state terrorism” in an interview with CNN on Wednesday (September 10), saying the treacherous act had not only destroyed Qatar’s mediation efforts but also any hope of freeing Israeli hostages in Gaza.

He stressed that a decisive response from the region was on the way and that an Arab-Islamic summit would be held in Doha in the coming days to approve a joint course of action.

Expressing intense anger, Al Thani said: “I cannot express the extent of my anger; what Israel did is state terrorism and we have seen betrayal.”

He accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seizing every opportunity to undermine stability and peace and called for him to be tried as a person wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
