Signing of Cooperation Protocol between Afghanistan Breshna Company and Turkmenistan Ministry of Energy to Accelerate Power Transmission Projects

After two days of intensive negotiations, the Protocol of Joint Cooperation Agreement was signed between Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of Afghanistan Breshna Company, and Murad Artikov, Director General of International Projects of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan.
The agreement was signed with the aim of accelerating the implementation of power transmission projects from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the power sector.
In the meetings held, technical teams from both sides discussed and exchanged views on key projects, including electrification of Bala Murghab districts of Badghis province, Khamab and Qarqin of Jawzjan province, increasing the level of imported power to Herat province, improving the quality of power, and progress on the 500 kV power transmission line project from Turkmenistan to Kabul.
Also, negotiations were held to advance the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission project.
Da Afghanistan Breshna Company, focusing on improving the quality of services and accelerating the implementation of projects, seeks to develop the industrial, trade, and agricultural sectors in the country.
