Returnees in Camps Urge Islamic Emirate for Winter Support

Afghans recently returned to the country and now living in designated camps are appealing to the Islamic Emirate for support as winter approaches. They cite lack of shelter, employment opportunities, and access to winter supplies as their most urgent problems.

One returnee, Aynuddin, said: “We ask the Islamic Emirate to pay attention to our situation. We are sick and cannot work in this cold. We need help.”

Khan Mohammad and Mohammad Awaz, who were separated from their families and left for Pakistan forty years ago, have now returned with their children.

Khan Mohammad told : “We hope the government will help us through the winter. After that, we will try to rebuild our lives.”

Mohammad Awaz said: “I have ten children, and I’m worried they’ll fall ill this winter. We ask the Islamic Emirate to provide us with facilities.”

Analysts emphasize that in addition to the government, aid organizations should continue supporting the returnees in these difficult circumstances.

Mohammad Jamal Muslim, an activist for refugee rights, said: “Charity organizations and the ruling authorities must now more than ever take the situation of the returnees seriously.”

This comes as the forced expulsion of Afghan refugees from neighboring countries has accelerated in recent years and continues to this day.

Although the Islamic Emirate has repeatedly promised aid distribution to forcibly returned Afghans, it has also urged host countries to stop forced deportations.
