Defense Ministry: Chief of Armed Forces Staff Participates in DIMDEX, Doha

The Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced that Fasihuddin Fetrat, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, participated in the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX).
According to the Ministry, Fetrat visited the exhibition and reviewed various military equipment on display.
During his visit to Doha, Fasihuddin Fetrat also met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
The DIMDEX exhibition and conference, supported by the Emir of Qatar, officially opened on Monday in Doha and will continue until January 22 at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
Defense Ministry spokesman Enayatullah Khwarazmi stated: “The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Fasihuddin Fetrat, attended today’s opening ceremony of the DIMDEX exhibition. This exhibition is held annually in Doha and is one of the most important international events in the defense and military sector, attended by chiefs of staff of armed forces and senior military officials from various countries.”
As a major regional defense event, DIMDEX provides a platform to explore new military technologies, defense systems, and facilitates the exchange of experiences among nations.
Participation of military officials in such exhibitions is considered an opportunity to assess recent developments in defense and security.
According to military analysts, the presence of Islamic Emirate officials at such events could help enhance technical knowledge and foster military dialogue.
Military analyst Ahmad Khan Andar stated: “Participation of Islamic Emirate officials in such exhibitions not only provides access to advanced military and defense technologies but also supports the development of international relations and cooperation.”
This visit comes as the Islamic Emirate continues to emphasize internal security and strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
