Taliban seizes most of Afghanistan’s Shibirgan city

Clashes continue from time to time between the Taliban and security forces, which have largely captured the center of the Juzjan province in northern Afghanistan, Shibirgan.

Authorities reported that most of the city center, as well as Qasri Dostum, Chagsay, Bandar-i Sar-i Pul areas in the city center, were under the control of militants.

In a statement made by the Taliban, it was claimed that they controlled most parts of the city center of Shibirgan, including the Security Directorate building, and 10 soldiers died in the clashes.
