The capital of Ghazni province fell to the Taliban

Sources in Ghazni report the fall of the provincial capital of Ghazni to Taliban fighters.

A member of the Ghazni Provincial Council says that as a result of the intensification of Taliban attacks on Ghazni province, the capital of the province has fallen into the hands of the group’s fighters.

According to him, in the clashes in the province, a number of forces stationed in the province surrendered to the group and a number were killed.

Meanwhile, a Taliban spokesman issued a statement announcing the capture of Ghazni province.

Qari Yusuf Ahmadi, a Taliban spokesman, wrote on his Twitter page today that the command building, the provincial building, the prison and other government facilities and locations had fallen to the group’s fighters.
