The capital of Nangarhar province was handed over to the Taliban

Sources in Nangarhar say the city of Jalalabad, the provincial capital, has been handed over to the Taliban by the governor.

The sources say that the city of Jalalabad was handed over to the group last night as a result of a deal with the Taliban by the governor of Nangarhar.

Meanwhile, last night, Taliban fighters entered the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, and took control of all its parts.

The group also captured the provincial capitals of Faryab, Laghman and Daikundi provinces last night.

Now the Taliban-held provincial capitals have reached 26 provinces.
