The Taliban also seized Bamyan province

Sources in Bamyan province say the Taliban have also captured the provincial capital without clashes.

According to these sources, all government facilities in the province are in the hands of this group.

The Taliban are said to have released prisoners as they entered Bamyan.

With the fall of Bamyan province, the Taliban control 29 provinces of the country and now only Kapisa, Nuristan, Parwan, Panjshir and Kabul provinces remain in the hands of the government.
