Turkey reacts to Taliban cabinet: The interim government is not comprehensive enough

Turkey does not consider the Taliban-declared interim government in Afghanistan sufficiently comprehensive.

“Turkey has not closed its embassy in Kabul, it continues its activities,” the press secretary of the ruling Justice and Development Party, led by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, told a news conference yesterday. We are closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan, especially human rights and women’s rights. “The interim government is not comprehensive enough.”

Meanwhile, the Taliban announced the cabinet of their interim government a few days ago, which has not yet been recognized by any country.

It has also been announced in the cabinet that no women in the interim government will be present in this group.
