Afghanistan

The Taliban will soon form a regular army

The Taliban announced the establishment of a strong and orderly army in Afghanistan in the near future.

Qari Fassihuddin, chief of staff of the Taliban government in Kabul, said today that consultations were under way to build a strong army and that the army should be trained to protect Afghanistan.

According to him, those who stand against the group on the grounds of ethnicity, resistance, preservation of 20 years of achievements or support for democracy will be repressed by this group.

He added that those who try to stand up to the group from these addresses are seeking to disrupt security and lead the country to a civil war, and they will not be allowed to plunder Afghanistan.

The chief of staff of the Taliban government, however, did not name a specific group.
