The Taliban have been the main target of recent bombings in Nangarhar

Three consecutive bombings in the city of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province, on Sunday, killing and wounding 28 people, are said to have targeted the Taliban.
The blasts were caused by roadside bombs; which ISIL has claimed responsibility for in a video.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that ISIL had planted mines to target Taliban vehicles, according to India Today.
However, on Monday, three explosions were heard in the city of Jalalabad, which, according to some reports, resulted in casualties for the Taliban.
Now that the Taliban are in charge of security in Afghanistan, they are under pressure to contain ISIS militants, and in part to live up to their promises to the international community to prevent terrorist attacks from Afghanistan.
There is also an expectation among conflict-weary Afghans that, despite fears and pessimism about the Taliban, the new rulers will gain at least some public security.
