The Ministry of Education of the Taliban government has denied the rumors about the beginning of girls’ schools and said that these rumors have no basis.

The ministry said in a statement released today that there were rumors circulating on social media that girls’ school classes would begin on Saturday.

The ministry added that the rumors originated from destructive and biased mindsets and had no basis.

According to the ministry, the Taliban has not yet decided whether to start girls’ schooling, but work is underway to reopen the schools.
