Pakistan sends financial and technical assistance to Afghanistan

Pakistan will also provide humanitarian, technical and financial support to the Taliban government if the Taliban is not recognized by the international community.
According to the Dawn newspaper, high-ranking Pakistani officials at a meeting in Islamabad chaired by Economy Minister Omar Ayub Khan have decided to provide comprehensive assistance to Afghanistan.
“The Pakistani government seeks to support the Afghan people in resolving their social and economic problems stemming from the vacuum of international non-recognition of the Taliban,” Ayub Khan said.
To support Afghanistan, he said, Pakistan is ready to provide immediate comprehensive assistance, including technical and financial assistance.
However, Pakistan still does not recognize the new Taliban government.
