Increased casualties in yesterday’s blast in Kabul

Yesterday’s explosion near the Eidgah Mosque in Kabul reportedly killed and injured 44 people.
A Taliban spokesman said yesterday that an explosion had taken place near the Eidgah mosque in Kabul, killing civilians.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, confirmed the blast in a tweet, saying that a group of civilians had been targeted and that it had taken place near the entrance to Kabul’s Eidgah mosque.
The blast reportedly killed 12 people and injured more than 32 others.
It is said that the mourning ceremony of one of the relatives of Zabihullah Mujahid was also being held during the explosion in the Eidgah mosque.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blast.
