The ISIS terrorist group has claimed responsibility for an explosion near Kabul’s Eidgah Mosque, calling the suicide bomber Mesbah al-Kanri.

The Kabul blast reportedly killed 12 people and injured more than 32 others.

However, Zabihullah Mujahid also confirmed it on the day of the blast in a tweet, saying that a gathering of civilians had been targeted.

It is also said that at the time of the explosion, the mourning ceremony of Zabihullah Mujahid’s mother was being held in Eidgah Mosque.
