Uzbekistan’s foreign minister meets with acting Taliban foreign minister

During his visit to Kabul, Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kabulov met with Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki.
Taliban Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote on his Twitter page that the Uzbek foreign minister was pleased to see the streets of Kabul in order, a crowded city and a safe and clean environment.
Balkhi wrote that Kamlov hoped that the Islamic Emirate would soon find a strong position in the international community.
He added that the Uzbek Foreign Minister has pledged that his country will cooperate with Afghanistan in transit, energy and trade.
During the meeting, the acting Taliban Foreign Minister also praised Uzbekistan’s cooperation in rebuilding Mazar-e-Sharif and other areas, and said that the situation in Afghanistan would soon return to normal.
