Taliban: There will be no cooperation with the United States to contain ISIS in Afghanistan

The Taliban have said they can fight terrorist groups in Afghanistan alone and do not need to cooperate with the United States.
Sohail Shaheen, a spokeswoman for the Taliban political bureau in Qatar, told the Associated Press that there would be no co-operation with Washington to contain the growing ISIS group in Afghanistan.
“We can deal with ISIS independently,” he added.
Since its emergence in eastern Afghanistan in 2014, ISIS has carried out relentless attacks on the country’s Shiites. It is also referred to as the terrorist group, which is the biggest threat to the United States due to attacks on American targets.
The group is now present in some Afghan provinces and has claimed responsibility for a number of recent attacks, including a suicide bombing on a Shi’ite mosque on Friday that killed 46 people and injured dozens more.
