The Taliban called for humanitarian aid from Russia

According to Russian media, the Taliban have called for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban deputy minister of information and culture and a spokesman for the group, told Russia’s Tass news agency that they would welcome Russian humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
“We seek to build relationships with all countries,” he said. “First of all, we are talking about diplomatic relations, without which further cooperation is impossible.”
“We want to work with all countries, and foreign investment plays an important role here,” he said, calling for Russian humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. Russia is an economically important country. “Afghanistan was destroyed during the war and Russia and other countries can help rebuild it.”
Russia is one of the countries that continued its normal relations with the group after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, but has not yet recognized the Taliban government.
