The Taliban have denied Putin’s recent allegations that ISIS was being transferred to Afghanistan

According to the Anatolian News Agency, Taliban Deputy Spokesman Bilal Karimi, in an interview with the media, rejected the recent statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin that ISIL and terrorist groups from Iraq and Syria are gathering in Afghanistan, saying that It is not possible to transfer ISIS from the Middle East to Afghanistan.
“The ISIS terrorist group cannot transfer fighters from the Middle East to Afghanistan,” he said in the interview. “Because traveling from these countries to Afghanistan is very difficult and there is no possibility that they will make this trip.”
“The Taliban rule all of Afghanistan and, therefore, no group is under its control,” he added.
Regarding ISIL’s activities in Afghanistan, he said: “ISIL has no place among the Afghan people and the Taliban forces are able to deal with ISIL activities.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a statement that terrorist groups such as ISIS were coming to Afghanistan from Iraq and Syria and gathering there, destabilizing Afghanistan’s neighbors.
