Kabulov: Creating an inclusive government is a viable option for the Taliban

The Russian president’s special envoy to Afghanistan has said that creating an inclusive government for the Taliban is a viable option.
According to Sputnik, Zamir Kabulov, the Russian president’s special envoy to Afghanistan, asked whether the Taliban could be forced to share power in Afghanistan. “I think so,” he said. “They are realizing that this is ultimately an unquestionable option for them.”
“The real problems, not only with management, but also with the interim government’s lack of financial resources, are forcing them to make a logical compromise,” he said, stressing that the Taliban must go through these steps.
Meanwhile, a meeting on Afghanistan was held in Moscow yesterday, attended by representatives of 10 countries in the region.
The political and military situation in Afghanistan, the provision of humanitarian aid and the establishment of an inclusive government in this country were the main topics of the meeting.
