Mullah Baradar met with Chinese Foreign Minister in Qatar

Mohammad Naeem, spokesman for the Taliban’s political office in Qatar, announced that Mullah Baradar, the group’s first deputy prime minister, had met with the Chinese foreign minister in Qatar.

Mohammad Naeem tweeted that during the meeting, the Chinese Foreign Minister said that his country supports the Taliban.

According to Naeem, the meeting focused on issues such as China’s humanitarian aid to the Afghan people, economic, trade and investment issues between the two countries.

He added that Mullah Baradar Akhand also stressed that the Taliban government would not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against another country.
