Guterres: We are in a race against time to help Afghanistan

“Afghanistan is becoming the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis,” said Antonio Gotesh, the UN Secretary-General.
“We are in a race against time to deliver rescue aid and first aid to Afghanistan before winter arrives,” he tweeted today.
He called on countries around the world to take action and said they have to support our efforts to support the most vulnerable.
“Afghanistan is now, if not the worst, a country with the worst humanitarian crisis,” said David Beasley, executive director of the UN World Food Program. They are facing. “We are counting down to a catastrophe.”
The arrival of winter is a greater threat to those dependent on humanitarian aid in Afghanistan, according to the United Nations.
